DAY 1 SUMMARY
ASH came out of the blocks like a lightning bolt! A staggering 160+ submissions in one day (up until daily cut off at 5:45 pm). Incredible stuff. The question is did they sprint off too early or do they still have another kick left in them for later? Either way, that's a daily total not likely to be matched during this festival.
Cobham and Basel were slow starters but gathered momentum throughout to finish the day 2nd and 3rd respectively. If they maintain their current rate over the week they can surely challenge ASH for the crown.
ISA were the surprise package of the day, breaking into the top 4 ahead of the Eagles of ASL with some strategic submissions.
An unexpectedly slow start from ASL today took the home team by surprise. Did the pre-game hype psyche them out or are they stalking the leading pack ahead of a late surge to the title?
St Johns and Hillingdon are nestled in behind ASL waiting for an opportunity to break into the top 5. Both have started well and could be dark horses moving forward.
MMI were second out the blocks this morning and were the first UK school to submit an entry but couldn't follow it up with any sustained pressure. They should take heart from today and push on to greater things tomorrow.
TASIS and ISB Bangkok are yet to really get going but both have proven pedigree at this level and should not be counted out. Especially as ISB were on holiday today.
Halcyon's engine stalled at the starting line as they couldn't access the upload form so a big showing is expected from them tomorrow as they finally begin to deliver on their potential.
Egham have opted not to show their hand yet. Is a surprise charge in the offing?

DAY 2 SUMMARY
***Special mention to Alexandra, G5 from ASL who uploaded the 1000th submission of the festival today!***
Now to the report...
Once upon a time, there was a panther and on 4 May 2020, this panther had a day off and was chilling in a tree in Bangkok. - Do panthers chill in trees? Feel like Attenborough once told me they did or was it Bagheera? - Sorry...anyway. This panther climbed out of the aforementioned tree on the morning of 5 May and teleported past the Trojan army to take the top spot on day 2. In short, ISB Bangkok raised the bar today by posting a remarkable...
360+ submissions! Well done to everyone at International School Bangkok.
So, we now realise that yesterday I was wrong and ASH's single-day record could be broken. ASH have dropped into second place in the rankings with everyone wondering if they have that late kick needed to regain the lead.
The Dragons and Eagles are flying around the top two with fans wondering if they'll be tipping their noses down for a swoop in the coming days. ASL produced a spirited second day to put themselves in and around the action, whilst ISB continued strongly to build on their momentum from day 1 as they cement their top 3 ranking. The two ISB's and ASH are the early festival favourites now.
Abderdeen and TASIS decided that it was the time to mount a charge. Aberdeen may have dropped out of the top four but their strong showing today means that they should be able to reclaim that spot if they're capable of a big push tomorrow. TASIS are now only 6 points behind Aberdeen and must be thinking that a top 5 place tomorrow isn't beyond them.
If others were sleeping yesterday today it was the turn of Cobham. Cobham slid down from 2nd to 7th as they missed a gear on the bend and lost momentum. This heavyweight competitor will no doubt respond tomorrow and will surely be challenging at the top come the end of Day 3.
St Johns and Hillingdon are only a few submissions apart and if they can push on tomorrow there is no reason why they can't gatecrash the top 6. Whilst Halcyon's engine trouble from yesterday still haunts them, they managed to sneak in a submission which gets them on the board.
Marymount started early yesterday but today they decided to watch the pack from a distance. No change in total for them on day 2 but we all know just a few submissions can have them moving up that table.
Rumours are circulating that Egham are waiting for the last minute to unleash their attack..and that they are stockpiling their entries. Remember everyone, always keep an eye over your shoulder for those Jaguars. We all saw what the Panthers did today, let that be a lesson.
Today we hit 1162 submissions in total, so well done all!

DAY 3 SUMMARY
***Special mention to Ritik, G7 from International School Basel who uploaded the 2000th submission of the festival today!***
Now that moment you've all been waiting for...The Last Dance? Meh. LSSA 2020 Baby!
Just like Air Jordan himself (just lost the younger audience), ISB Bangkok...DO. NOT. LET. UP. 360+ submissions yesterday...how about a further 450+ today? Just to bring this achievement into focus...they have 995 students enrolled from G5 - 12. They have submitted 811 entries...and there's still 2 days left. WOW!
Keeping them honest and still marching strong are the Trojans of ASH. They are just over 1000 points behind. Sounds daunting right? That's only 200 submissions away. This race is definitely not over. ASH today clocked up 866 points. Think Spurs vs Ajax last season, only this time the Dutch team has a chance at the comeback!
The gap between third and fourth has really narrowed now. ASL have built on the previous day's momentum and are now just 200 points or 40 submissions behind Basel. Basel took their foot off the gas a little today allowing the Eagles to chase them down. Will the Dragons breathe fire tomorrow or will the Eagles fly past unscathed?
Meanwhile, TASIS and Cobham are fighting for 5th place with TASIS really going full steam today to pull in ahead of the Cougars. Cobham were more like the Cobham we know, putting in a big showing however yesterday's performance means they are still playing catch-up.
Suprise package Aberdeen fell away a little but are only just over 200 points away from the top 5. We certainly won't be betting against the Bisons charging back at the Royals and Cougars.
St Johns have pulled away from Hillingdon as the Hawks had their slowest day to date. St Johns are surely looking up rather than down now as Aberdeen must be the target over the next 2 days.
Now, let me take you back to my words yesterday...always look over your shoulder if a Jaguar is on the loose. Today that Jaguar got hungry and came after the Hawk. Egham have lept into the race and are now only 9 points behind Hillingdon. Should they really turn it on tomorrow they could also catch St Johns.
The final two slots are occupied by Halcyon and Marymount who failed to register today. However, as we've seen, anything can happen in a day of competition at the LSSA. Write these teams off at your peril.
Today we reached 2223 submissions in total and the finale promises to be an exciting one!

DAY 4 SUMMARY
***Special mention to Bruno, G6 from International School of The Hague who uploaded the 3000th submission of the festival today!***
BREAKING NEWS: Halcyon somehow lifted Thor's hammer (now Disn*y are going to sue me for using a M*rvel character without permission) and used it to jumpstart their failing engine sending their campaign into overdrive! They amassed a staggering 722 points in a single day!! Could the underdogs steamroller their way into the top 5 by the end of play? This is what we love about sport...anything can happen with a little hard work, sweat and a M*rvel cameo. Big shout out to PE hero Ben at Halcyon for not giving up!
News from the top now and the Trojan's pulled the Panthers back by the scruff of the neck. The Panthers posted their lowest score of a single day so far with 1213 (yes that's their lowest...incredible numbers, not envious at all) with ASH posting their highest single-day score punching in at 1337. I know you just gasped. I did too, however, mine was out of relief once I realised that I finally finished compiling their entries. All we can do now is stand back and admire these two heavyweights going toe to toe. I'm going to stick my neck out to say that it's going to be a close finish.
Meanwhile, Basel kept up their strong pace as ASL stumbled. Basel now 600 points ahead of ASL going into the final showdown. The Dragon caught the Eagle's wing can the Eagle summon the energy for one last swoop? There could be some drama here that's for sure and with TASIS now just 144 points behind the Eagles, I'm sure you're all wondering...can the Royals sneak through?
Cobham are in need of a green boost to jolt them back to life, maybe The Hulk (if I'm going to get sued might as well be worth it) can propel them away from Halcyon who are now just 169 points behind.
Aberdeen have maintained their steady pace which gently eases them away from St Johns. Only a few submissions behind Halcyon the Bisons could definitely regain 7th place come Friday night.
St Johns, Egham and Hillingdon are caught in a three-way battle for 9th place. Hillingdon who started the stronger of the three are now losing momentum as Egham, who lept into action yesterday, continues to capitalise. St Johns must have a look over its shoulder as all their word might be lost if they drop off the pace now. Marymount are now close wnough to make it a four-way tussle as they broke the 100 point barrier today and are only 53 points behind Hillingdon.
All to play for at the top and the bottom of the table. Again, I can't stress this enough, this could be anyone's title with a unified attack.
Today we had a total of 3669 submissions an amazing feat you should all be proud of. What a community!
